During the program, participants apply the learning, activities and assessments to their day-to-day roles with opportunities to set goals, develop work priority plans and be self-reflective.

OUR delivery FORMAT

We offer you maximum flexibility – book the whole program or just the topic modules you need!

Learners can undertake the full qualification, or choose the module of their choice and gain the units of competency covered in that module.

For delivery in workplaces, this program may also be delivered as 10 x 1-day workshops across a 10-12 month period.

Assessments are knowledge questions, practical activities. observations and application activities designed to be incorporated into the learner’s day-to-day job rather than adding to workload.

Participants have up to 12 months to complete the qualification or the individual modules.

ABOUT THE program modules

To attain the BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, learners must be deemed competent in 12 units of competency (5 core, 7 elective) over a 10-day delivery, plus assessments (in class and back in the workplace).

The 10-days will be delivered in 4 x 2-day modules plus 2 x 1-day modules, with time in between to allow learners to practice skills learnt in each module back at your workplace.

Our program allows for enrolment in either the full qualification or into the individual modules.

This 2-day module supported by workplace application and assessment, delivers 3 units towards the BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.

About this module
Effective communication has long been recognised as a core skill of effective leadership. Strong interpersonal abilities foster trust and build the robust relationships that are essential for succesful team development and individual influence. This module positions these skills not as optional, but as critical to achieving better outcomes through meaningful interactions. Learners will collaborate with others to develop greater social awareness, learning to adapt more readily to different communication styles through active listening and improved emotional regulation. About this module
Leaders who foster an inclusive team environment, where individuals clearly understand expectations and recognise their contributions, are positioned to achieve significantly greater results than those who do not.

This module explores the key stages of team development, guiding learners on how to progress a team from initial relationship-building to a unified focus on shared goals and effective collaboration. It also introduces situational leadership theory, equipping leaders with strategies to adapt their leadership style to meet the varying needs, skills, and experience levels of team members.

Not your traditional diversity and inclusion program focused on quotas, this innovative module focuses on understanding how an inclusive workforce supports a team’s growth and productivity.

Discussions and activities incorporate diversity of thought, actions, beliefs and practice, uncovering conscious and unconscious barriers to acceptance of difference.

At the end of the module participants will:

  • Define what diversity and inclusion mean in the modern workplace.
  • Recognise the personal and organisational benefits of embracing diversity.

About this module
As a result of this module, learners will: understand that change in business is constant. The chaotic, uncertain and fast-paced world that leaders find themselves in requires change of priorities, team members, deadlines, skills, briefs, boundaries, leadership, and job roles.

Learners will learn how to manage change within themselves and their team, and importantly how to manage constant change and the corresponding change fatigue.

At the end of the module participants will:

PROGRAM FAQ’s

While there are no educational prerequisites for this course, it is a program for people who work in in a leadership or supervisor capacity, regardless of which industry.  English language proficiency and literacy skills are needed to complete the course in the required time frame. The program also requires competency in using a computer or tablet devices for research.

A good level of numeracy is necessary to complete the learning and assessment activities in this program.

Using the cloud-based interactive platform Zoom, you can gain your qualification with a live facilitator, in real-time, with a group of other participants, via computer from anywhere in the world with an internet connection and a device with a microphone and camera.

We don’t offer pre-recorded online programs or self-paced programs where you receive the materials and work it out for yourself. That’s not an effective way to learn and it’s not how we work. Workplace Dimensions are experts in live training. Our program simulates real face-to-face training, with expert facilitators, peers and all the activities, discovery learning and discussions you’d experience if you were working in a training room together. We offer the same experience of our face-to-face programs, delivered via computer. You’ll even get morning, afternoon, and lunch breaks – though, you’ll have to supply your own muffins and coffee!

We supply workbooks, handouts and assessments via post to your home or workplace. We look after logistics in the same meticulous way we do with our face-to-face programs.

The Zoom software only requires an internet connection and works cross-platform on all PC and Mac desktop computers, devices and smartphones that have a camera and microphone, which most devices already have.

The Zoom software platform is free for you to use and is available either in-browser (through Chrome, Firefox etc.), as a downloadable app for computers and devices, or can be integrated into your company intranet.

Zoom also encrypts all content at the application layer using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit algorithm, and we use password-protected sessions to enhance this security.

We have technical support resources to seamlessly support you if you are not familiar with working with this type of technology.

If you need support setting up or using Zoom, we have a team member available running weekly Wednesday Zoom testing sessions (or by appointment) to ensure you are confident with using Zoom before the program starts.
