During the program, participants apply the learning, activities and assessments to their day-to-day roles with opportunities to set goals, develop work priority plans and be self-reflective.

OUR delivery FORMAT

We offer you maximum flexibility – book the whole program or just the topic modules you need!

10-days of training broken into 4 x 2-day foundation modules plus 2 x 1-day modules.

Learners can undertake the full qualification, or choose the module of their choice and gain the units of competency covered in that module.

This program may also be delivered as 10 x 1-day workshops across a 10-12 month period.

Assessments are knowledge questions, practical activities. observations and application activities designed to be incorporated into the learner’s day-to-day job rather than adding to workload.

Participants have up to 12 months to complete the qualification or the individual modules.

ABOUT THE program modules

To attain the BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, learners must be deemed competent in 12 units of competency (5 core, 7 elective) over a 10-day delivery, plus assessments (in class and back in the workplace).

The 10-days will be delivered in 4 x 2-day modules plus 2 x 1-day modules, with time in between to allow learners to practice skills learnt in each module back at your workplace.

Our 10 day program allows for enrolment in either the full qualification or into the individual modules.

About this module
Effective communication has long been recognised as a core skill of effective leadership. Strong interpersonal abilities foster trust and build the robust relationships that are essential for succesful team development and individual influence. This module positions these skills not as optional, but as critical to achieving better outcomes through meaningful interactions. Key benefits include increased productivity, improved efficiency, and reduced rework caused by miscommunication.

Learners will collaborate with others to develop greater social awareness, learning to adapt more readily to different communication styles through active listening and improved emotional regulation. The module also focuses on delivering effective feedback, navigating conflict constructively, and engaging with diverse perspectives in a respectful and confident manner.

Leaders who foster an inclusive team environment, where individuals clearly understand expectations and recognise their contributions, are positioned to achieve significantly greater results than those who do not.

This module explores the key stages of team development, guiding learners on how to progress a team from initial relationship-building to a unified focus on shared goals and effective collaboration. It also introduces situational leadership theory, equipping leaders with strategies to adapt their leadership style to meet the varying needs, skills, and experience levels of team members.

Learn how to solve problems through innovative idea generation and robust critical thinking.

This two-day module supported by workplace application and assessment delivers three units toward BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.

Leaders are required to think quickly, innovate and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Participants discover how to adapt their leadership style, to successfully solve the many problems leaders face on a day-to-day basis, to deliver on robust outcomes in complex work environments while juggling conflicting priorities. Participants will learn how to apply critical thinking to innovate and continuously improve, while confidently understanding how to manage projects and plans in an ever-changing environment.

Discussions and activities incorporate diversity of thought, actions, beliefs and practice, uncovering conscious and unconscious barriers to acceptance of difference.
