The graduation of 34 Spark leaders receiving the BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management has given Spark a reason to celebrate. With another 63 leaders currently in the program, Spark are living their vision of ‘leaving the construction industry better than they found it.’

In bringing this vision to life, Spark North East Link Design & Construct Joint Venture (Spark) proudly partner with LDN in the design and delivery of their Step-Up Leadership Program.

This program is building industry capacity by equipping frontline leaders with practical leadership skills, strengthening individual capabilities, and preparing the next generation to manage complex projects safely and effectively. An important project considering the skills shortages the construction and infrastructure sectors are currently facing.

Designed to align with Spark’s leadership pillars, the program is specifically tailored to meet the real-world challenges faced by leaders throughout the lifecycle of complex projects. Participants actively take part in integrated case studies and scenarios that mirror the everyday experiences of Spark’s frontline leaders, developing skills directly applicable to their roles. Delivered over 10 months, the program provides the leaders with essential skills in advanced leadership, and the competence and confidence to undertake effective communication, manage diverse teams, apply creative and critical thinking, emotional intelligence, lead others through change and mentor and coach their team members.
